Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida
Thinking about filing for Chapter 7 & on an apartment lease.
I'm on a lease with a roommate & thinking about filing for chapter 7. What will happen with the lease? Will I have to move out? Will my roommate be affected by my filing chapter 7?

A bankruptcy should have no effect on the lease. You should not have to move out. If you want to terminate the lease...this is an option during the bankruptcy. Your roommate will have to disclose their income and contribution to the household. Qualification for Chapter 7 & 13 is based on household income.
