Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida
Wife has incurred 30K worth of Debt that we have been trying to pay minimal payments but not getting ahead. Most is hospital bills from when she had cancer and the usage of credit cards while she could not work. If she files Bankruptcy would this impact me and my financial situation. thank you in advance.

One spouse can file bankruptcy without the other. If there is any joint debt then the creditor can "come after" the non-filing spouse. However, household income is still part of the equation and it could present a problem if the income is too high and not protected from the non-joint creditors.
You and your wife should schedule an appointment with a bankruptcy attorney to discuss your specific details and situation.
