Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
On behalf of my business, if I file a cease and desist order in Florida against a competing business, but I live
and have a relationship with a business attorney in Michigan. Would I be ok using my attorney, or would it be
better to use a Florida attorney? Thank you.

If the person you are seeking to enjoin knows you are using an out of state attorney, that might appear less threatening and they might not take your cease and desist demand seriously. Before you file anything in court in Florida, you would need a Florida attorney to represent you (although you could possibly represent yourself).
