Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
breach of contract
Can a general release be mandated by opposing counsel if counsel is aware of further pending action against their client? Is there any law and/or protection against this? I am representing myself in a small claims matter but have a breach of contract claim to bring forth in a higher court in FL.

Not sure what you're asking. If you have another more serious claim, you should get an attorney on it and they will make sure you don't lose it in your small claims litigation.

yes. But your release should only be for the sc case, nothing else. Careful what you sign.
