Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
Building Ownership through LLC
I am a board member of my
husbands corporation. He and his
business partner started an LLC to
buy the building for the business. I
am not included on the LLC. The
corporation will lease the building
from the LLC. Do I have any claim to
ownership of the building?

No, you do not have any ownership cliam on the building as it is owned by the LLC. However, in the event of a divorce you might have a claim to a a protion of your husbands interest in the LLC as marital property.
