Legal Question in Business Law in Florida

buisness permits

Is there any type of national food vending permit that can be obtained? A nationaly recognized health permit? I'm trying to become a traveling food vendor. Do you have to file taxes in every state vended? Does every state require a vending fee? Please help, even if you can point me in the right direction. Thank You

Re: buisness permits

To my knowledge, there is no nationally recognized health permit. You'd have to obtain a permit in each location in which you sold food. You could check with the FDA to be sure.

Different locations have different tax requirements. For instance, in every state you'll have to file sales tax. However, you'd only file income tax in one state. Obviously, if you live in Florida, you'd pay no income tax on yourself, but you would pay corporate tax. You'll have to check the laws in every jurisdiction in which you sell.
