Legal Question in Business Law in Florida

burned by nonprofit debit consoldation company

january 2001 I was contacted by phone by Integrated credit solutions. I was told I could save thousands of dollars in intrest by consoladating it sounded great I signed up they began drafting money from my bank two months went by and creditors began calling. ICS is a for profit company so light house credit foundation handles all payments. I fired light house and began to take over my credit I went from being on time to 100 days behind with 1 creditor LH says they paid Ge capitol says they did not. LH will not provide me with canceled checks so I have no way to prove they were paid. Now I a being harrased by GE Capitol my phone calls to LH have gone unanswered can I sue a nonprofit company or its for profit parent company? and if so were can I find a lawer who will take it on a contingency basis. They have screw my credit and given me unmeasureable amount of stress.

Re: burned by nonprofit debit consoldation company

Our firm is not interested in your case. We cannot provide you with the name of an attorney that would take it on a contigency fee basis because (1) we have no idea whether any lawyer would be interested in handling this type of case on a contigency fee basis, and (2) without knowing all of the facts, including the amount in dispute, which you neglected to include in your question/statement, a lawyer would be unable to even begin to evaluate your case or whether, if he/she wanted to handle the case, whether a contingency fee structure would be acceptable. Seek the advice of counsel and good luck.
