Legal Question in Business Law in Florida

Business Law for Minors

I'm in Florida and under 18 years old. I want to start a business as a Limited Liability Company (LLC). I have the money for start up and whatnot.

1. Can I start a LLC while I'm under 18 years old?

2. If I do, will I be able to get a bank account for the business and the like (sign up for P.O. Boxes, etc)?

3. If not, can I start it as a partnership with an adult over 18 years old?

4. If I start it with a partner, can I still make money from it as a member?

Thanks

Unless you are emancipated, you are not competent to enter into a contract except for necessaries like food. If your idea immediately makes money, you might be able to work something out. But otherwise, I think you will need an attorney to set something up to make this happen, protect you and protect your creditors and customers. Feel free to contact us on this.

After reviewing your question I believe you should set up a limited liability corporation but am unsure as to the banks requirements or the post office requirements. If you would like to pursue this please e-mail me your phone number and a time to call you.
