Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
calling old clients
I am a hair stylist and have left my employer to start my own salon. I have called several of my clients notifing them of my new salon. I did not sign a no-compete agreement with my former employer. By calling my clients, have I done anything illegal?

Re: calling old clients
If there is no agreement in place preventing you from doing this then you should be ok. You should be careful to not interfere with the business of your former employer though because you could still face issues.
