Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
Cease and desist order against my startup company
I recently opened a process serving company after working for a similar company for a year. INever signed a non compete agreement and my employment contract only said I can not solicit their clients while working for them. I visited one of their clients, a law firm, who told me they just got off the phone with my previous employer who said they are bringing charges against me and having a cease and desist order filed against my company for targeting their clients. Can they do this? Do I need to get an attorney or could this be just a scare tactic?
