Legal Question in Business Law in Florida

How To Choose A Lawyer

What would be good questions to ask a "potential" attorney regarding their own ethics and business practices? I will be looking for an attorney for a future small business, or investment purposes.

Thank you in advance for your answers.

I suggest asking the attorney whether there havebeen any disciplinary proceedings. Almost allattorneys have had grievances filed against them. What you need to find out is if your potentialattorney has actually been found guilty of any ethical violations and disciplined.

The next major thing is to make very clear howand what the attorney charges.

The third matter is getting information abouthis or her background and experience. Watch outfor the ones that try to make you think they know everything. The more experience one gets, themore one realizes how little one knows.

Finally, never trust anyone that gives you anyguarantees of success.
