Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
Can a church sell books from a bookstore or book table legally? The church is a small church and would be selling the books to the congregation only? We have to pay taxes any monies earned?

As a Franchise Attorney I would advise you contact your local City Hall to inquire about a business license. State offices are another needed contact point to determine if you will be required to collect sales tax. There may be an exemption if you are a non-profit, but then again, the normal rules may still apply. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
