Classification of confidential, protected, proprietary information

I am drafting an employee policy on the protection of confidential, trade secret, and proprietary information. And would like to know if there are well-known and accepted categories and what the definition of each of the categories is.

Yes, but this is not the kind of document you want to create on your own or based on an exchange of e-mails with faceless attorneys. You need to hire a lawyer experienced in this type of matter.
