closing a corperation
I have a business that is closed and there is debt owed to creditors. What protection do I have personally in concern to not being ableto pay off the creditors?

You should consider bankruptcy if you personally guaranteed the debts. If not, then it will depend on how well you maintained your company, when it went inactive, when the debts were incurred. This is a complicated matter.
