Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
how to collect on promissory notes
I made the big mistake in lending a ''friend'' a considerable amount of money not once but 4 times with the understanding that he will repay me when he sells a piece of real estate and he will pay the payments to me monthly. How do I go about collecting on this money if the money he owes me is more that the value of the property. I understand that I need a lawyer, but I have no one in mind. Can I ever collect this money if he decides to file bankruptcy? I am totally lost and feel so stupid to trust someone so much. Please help. Thanks

Re: how to collect on promissory notes
Without reading the notes no one can answer. A lawsuit may be your remedy. Good luck.
