Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
Commercial lease
We signed personal on a lease that states it is transferable, but the land lord states that we can transfer it but we are still responsible for the rest of our signed lease. We are in florida. We do not feel we should still be responsible. Are we? What can we do?

Re: Commercial lease
The answer should be in the language of your lease agreement, but it is normal for the original tenant to remain liable for performance of the lease.
