Legal Question in Business Law in Florida

Contract for home pressure clean & paint

I have a contract for pressure cleaning, replacing rotten wood and painting 2 buildings on my property. The contract amount of $5,200 was to be paid with a $2,000 depoisit, $1,000 after completion of first building and $2,200 upon completion. I provided the deposit, and the 2nd draw upon contractor's request (he had employee problems) even though the first building was not completed. The paint identified in the contract carries a lifetime warranty. The can instructs application by brush but the contractor sprayed it with poor results. The paint manufacturer's rep told me this paint was too thick to be sprayed without thinning and was not supposed to be thinned. The contractor abandoned the job with neither building finished leaving several debris piles (made by him)all over the yard. I was placed in the position of getting someone to clean up the debris and to find yet another contractor to finish the job. Does this constitute a breach of contract?
