Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
Copyright Concern
If I had a business where people paid me to read stories to them from books, would I be violating any copyright laws, etc?

Re: Copyright Concern
Definitely not if the person you read to owned the book. I suppose a (thin) case could be made that you are violating author copyright if you own the books and read from them, but it would be a tough case for the author or publisher. Certainly a case could be made if you are podcasting or otherwise broadcasting the books.

Have you ever heard of reading radio? They read the paper and books to the listening public for people who are blind. So don't worry about it.
