Legal Question in Business Law in Florida

Copyrights on products and Liablity of the product

We want to make climging holds (close to the ones at a rock climbing gym) thought do not have the identicle ones. I was wondering if:

Is there some type of copy right on somethinglike that? We make them completly our selves, so can we sell them with no legal problems?

Also, how can I avoid being sued if they get injured with out he proper safety equipment?

Re: Copyrights on products and Liablity of the product

You have asked a handful of questions and it would be improper for me to answer your question. You need to determine if there is a patent on the product you have described and if there is, even if you make your own, you may be subject to liability. And yes, if someone is hurt with your equipment, you, as the manufacturer may also be liable. However, you need to consult with an attorney in these areas to discuss beforehand.

Good luck.
