Corporate Representation

Can an employee of a corporation file a claim

for the corporation in the circuit courts and

represent same... As I understood, if you are a

corporation you have to have counsel or an attorney to represent the corporation in any legal

issue involving the courts.... Please confirm and

if possible provide statute relating to this

issue....

Other than in small claims court, a corporation has

to be represented by an attorney. I am not aware

of any particular statute. I believe this is

extablished by case law. The reasoning is that since

a coroporation is a distinct legal entity, it would

be the unauthorized practice of law for anyone

other than an attorney to represent it.
