Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
Customer is ignoring our calls to resolve a damage issue
We are a satellite installation company. A couple of days ago, one of our techs while performing the installation in the attic, he stepped on the ceiling and created a hole. The customer was very co-operative while we were still on site then the next day we called them to try to resolve the issue and they yelled at us and hung up. We have been calling and leaving messages but they either ignore us or hang up on us after they tell us they're waiting to speak with their attorney. We want to take care of this matter but they won't let us. We're afraid the longer we wait, the more damage occurs and then we'll have to pay more to fix the ceiling. We thought about sending them a registered letter giving them 7 or 14 days to respond or we will no longer be responsible for the damages. What would you suggest? Thank you!
