Legal Question in Business Law in Florida

Deceptive Auto Dealer

I purchased a 1968 restored truck off of ebay from a licensed Florida dealer. The dealer did not mention tons of things that were wrong on the truck. I live in Texas and drove to pick the truck up. I had already purchased the vehicle, based on the dealers description and the pictures he supplied, prior to picking up the truck. I picked the truck up, was very unhappy with it, but had already paid my money. I was going to rent a u-haul and pull it back but u-haul said they dont have trailers made for pulling trucks. I was then just going to drive it back and took it to sears to have it looked over and an oil change, but was told the truck had a major oil leak and they wouldnt even change the oil. I then had to find a auto transporter that would transport the truck to Texas, which is costing me $1245. The truck has rust in a few areas, and tons of bad areas not specified by the seller. I paid 20K for the truck based on the description and pictures supplied, but would have not even paid 12k if I knew how the truck looked and the problems it has with the engine. The seller also told me in an email that if I was not happy with the truck he would refund my money, but has since declined. Do I have any legal standing with the seller?

Re: Deceptive Auto Dealer

You need to contact a Florida attorney that practices in or near the county where the swindler is located. You probably have a fairly good lawsuit.
