Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
What a dog!
After much research and consideration, I purchased a dog from a store in town. I paid twice as much as I was quoted by private breeders, but I felt this dog had all of the qualities I wanted. I was hoping to breed her myself. The dog is now 8 months old and obviously NOT a Jack Russell Terrier, but some sort of mixed breed. I have all of my receipts and papers stating that she is a pure bred Jack Russell Terrier. I was sold an expensive mutt and I want (at least) my money back. Do I need a lawyer?

Re: What a dog!
You are not required to have one. Any claim for less
than $5,000 is submitted to small claims court, which
is designed to assist people who do not have lawyers
in bringing lawsuits. However, the rules of procedure
and evidence still apply and if the other side has
a lawyer, you will be at a disadvantage.
