Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
Domain Name Law
I bought a domain name 6 months ago and have been using it for my business ever since. The domain name is jeffhamitonjackets.com. Yesterday I received a cease and desist letter from Action Performance Company stating that they have recently bought Jeff Hamilton Inc. and Jeff Hamilton is trademarked and they want the domain name returned to them. The domain name was not registered to anyone 3 months prior to my accruing it.
My question is simply who owns the domain name ''jeffhamiltonjackets.com''?

Your question involves complex issues that extend beyond the guidance and general feedback one typically expects from an e-mail exchange with attorneys at lawguru.com. Seek the advice of an attorney experienced in trademark law. Good luck.
