Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
I was employed by a construction firm and given bonuses for projects completed. However after 2 years and the economic downturn I was told these were bonis advances and had to be repaid. One hundred dollars a week and thirteen thousand dollars later I have been let go . Is this legal?

As a Franchise Attorney I can say it's not possible to answer your question without a lot more detail and it's way beyond the scope of this bulletin board. If you think there's any issue involving wages, etc. (the bonuses that are now labeled advances), contact your local employment development or labor department. They will look into it and take appropriate action. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
