Employee compensation
I work as a corporate trainer. My boss asked me to participate in a government-sponsored program, where I will also work as a trainer, in hopes of developing new clients. The government program will pay all of my expenses and an ''honorarium'' for my time. My immediate supervisor told me to keep the income - but I am not so sure this is correct. What, if any, is my obligation to share this income with my employer?

Unless the program itself has some rule that requires you to share it with your employer, you don't have to. There is no law that requires you to share the income.
