Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
employee termination
My wife is the CFo of my company and we are getting a divorce. Her name is not on any paperwork on the ownership of the company but she is on tax returns. Can I fire her?

Re: employee termination
It depends. Is she an employee only? Is she a shareholder? Does she have an employment agreement. It is unclear what you mean by "she is oon the tax returns." If this a corporation? A dba? Who does what work.
Re: employee termination
I would need to get all the facts to answer your question.AS a result of her marital interest in your business I would suggest you not talk to anyone but an attorney about this issue. If you need assistance send me an e- mail with your phone # because I have experience in family and business law.
