I was recently hired by a company.But one of the requirements is that you have a clear background.I was wrongfully arrested and my case got dropped and I'm in the process of getting it expunge.However the company that hired me wants me to give them details as to what happened .Do I need to explain to them what happened in details if I have documentation stating that my charges where dropped.And do they have the right to deny me employment because of that?

Absolutely, they have the right to ask you anything that is not protected by federal law. Knowing about an arrest is fair game for an employer. If you do not respond, or they do not like your response, they can deny you employment for that or any other reason.
