Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
Ficititous Names
I am starting a business. I have Incorporated myself using a differnet name than I will use for my business. After research I have found that after I Incorporated another Company Incorporated in Florida using the name I had wanted to use as my ficititous name. I have also found that there is a US federal trademark on the name for a company in canada. Can I use the ficititous name to conduct business in Florida snd on the Internet?

Re: Ficititous Names
Since the name is in use I suggest you avoid a potential lawsuit & find another name.

Your answer is no. And you may not pick a deceptively similar name either.
