Legal Question in Business Law in Florida

Foreign Corporation

My partner and I own and operate an LLC incorporated in Florida. I am moving to South Carolina, and I want to still operate a certain area of the business when I move. It is internet based, so it will be easy to make the transition. However, what will it cost or take to operate in two different states? Will I need to fill out a foreign corporation form for the state of South Carolina?

If you want to register the LLC in South Carolina you can either open a new LLC or operate as a foreign entity by registering the entity. You would have to check with the South Carolina entity similar to Florida's Division of Corporations for the amount of the fees.
