Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
A friend gave me permission to use his pet cat's name and picture on a product that I am developeing and hoping to Trademark/Copyright. If I am successful and then he claims he didn't give me permission, can he sue me, make me stop using the cat, or both?

Perhaps. Get it in writing now, before you become successful. Don't wait till there is somethingto fight about.

Why not just get it in writing now? He may sue you; whether he will be successful in a lawsuit involving a picture of your cat is another story (I don't think so). It can be pricey litigation which you can avoid before the fact by just having a relatively simple writing stating his permission.
