Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
giving cash back on sales
we are a copier dealership and would like to offer our customers ''cash'' back on copier leases. The customer would lease a copier, and after we received funding, we would issue a check for an agreed amount built into the deal. We would either issue the check to the business, or to an individual officer of the business. Are there laws that limit or make this type of rebate not legal?

No Florida law limits or forbids cash rebates after the sale is complete.

No -- although you probably shoild avoid giving a kick back to an individual who is different that the person or company leasing the copier. That is a receipe for trouble. If the renter is a public agency, it is probably illegal. Your kick back should be in writing and part of the rental agreement itself to avoid any confusion or misunderstanding.
