Hearing on MSJ and Pre-Trial

What exactly happens at a Hearing on a Motion for Summary Judgment, and at a Pre-Trial Hearing?

The judge is to hear my MSJ before the Pre-Trial (I won a judgment already, on the same issues). I had to let my attorney go, and am now self-represented. I want to know what to expect. Can anyone help?

The judge will hear arguments from both sides as to why or why not -- based on the filed record -- judgment should or should not be entered.

At pretrial, the judge will tell you, usually, what number your case is and the period in which it will or might be heard, discuss any scheduling problems, and advise you of how the routine day to day aspects of the trial will be handled.
