Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
I hired a company to complete a construction cleanup and was given a quote for the entire job. After 1/2, and many no shows that followed, they informed me that the job was too big and they could not complete it. Now I am being billed for partial work completed. I feel that I should not have to pay because they, not I, broke the agreement. I did not hire someone for "piece-meal" work and it was their choice to both accept the job and to not finish. Am I obligated to pay?

If you agreed to modify the contract and pay for the partial work done I don't see how you can avoid it.
