Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
Home business
I am a Florida resident, living there 6 months and in Pennsylvania 6 months. I am considering starting a home business as a ''note finder.'' I will be searching for people holding mortgage backed notes to see if they would like to sell them at a discounted price, and submitting their note to a data bank of investors for quotes. What permitting, licensing, etc would I need in these two states?

My guess is that you would need a securities license.
