Legal Question in Business Law in Florida

My husband died. He has no will or probate. he had a loan on car in his name only, which I returned to credit union as i could not afford it. Credit union sent him a letter that they sold car with deficiency balance $3500.00, accruing interest& failure to pay in 15 days may result in lawsuit which he will be responsible for the fees.Am I (wife) responsible to pay this? Am I also responsible for his medical bills?

No and no if you have never signed anything that obligates you to his debts. Now if there is a probated estate, they (as creditors) could file a claim against it to try and collect.
