Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
Is it illegal for someone to claim to be incorporated when no such corporation exists? What agency would be responsible for investigating?

Any attorney will say this amounts to misrepresentation. It is not likely any state agency would investigate something like this, but you could try the Attorney General's office in your state. Consult with a good business attorney in your area for specific advice.
