Is it illegal to sneak into a second movie after watching one you paid for?

The other attorney is right. You pay to see one movie and just that movie. Consult with a business attorney in your area for specific advice.

Unless the theater expressly allows ticketholders to stay for a second movie (this was a common practice long ago), then doing so is illegal. At most theaters the ticket says which movie and which performance the holder has paid to see; there would be little point in printing this information if you could use the ticket for another show.
