Legal Question in Business Law in Florida

Incorporation

A friend and myself are group fitness instructors and personal trainers. We want to start a boot camp class on our own where we would go to local parks and have anywhere from 5-10 people. Do we legally have to incorporate and can we just be independent contractors and not a partnership, corp., or limited partnership?

Re: Incorporation

As far as I know there are nothing in Florida requiring that you be incorporated, but there may be certain forms which are not available for your profession. Otherwise, the business form you choose is entirely up to you. However, there could be consequences for you and your friend, as well as benefits with some business forms.

I suggest that you consult with an attorney and CPA before you begin your business to discuss the pros and cons of incorporation and other business forms.

You did not provide a zip code in your question, but if you have any questions you can contact my office. Initial consultations are free.
