If I start my own business of teaching quilt making to kids, what is my liability if one of them gets hurt with a pair of scissors, needle or other tool that may used during the process through no fault of mine?

Re: Injury Liability
Placing such objects in the hands of children without parent supervision would open you up to a claim of liability should some child be injured . Make sure you have liability insurance.
Make sure you incorporate or form a limited laibility company. Good luck.
Re: Injury Liability
In addition to what Mr. Slater suggested, have your attorney create a form that specifically advises parents of the nature of equipment or tools that will be used in class, that acknowledges parental consent for the use of such tools in class, and that shield's your company from liability in the event of an accident or injury (i.e., waiver of claims). Seek the advice of counsel and good luck.
