Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
I had been let go from a job on November 30th my former employer has just sent me a certified letter asking to return their equipment , phone, lap top and wireless router now after 45 days
I never signed the property out, and it was given to me by the owner of the company, do I have the legal right under the law to keep these items if I never signed anything stating that this was company property ?
how does a cleaners get away with taking your garments after thirty days if this is the case

I think you would be hard press that it was a gift. At best it was compensation to you that you would have to pay income tax and social security on.
Unless you have something documenting it is a gift, you should return it.
The cleaners is probably because they have a written policy advising you about it when you drop the clothes off.
