What kind of business do u suggest a convicted felon should start?

One that doesn't require a license (other than a business/occupational license, which is really just a tax).

In addition to Mr. Kaplan's suggestion, I would have to ask if there are any prohibitiions in your sentencing. Even convicted felons can get licenses in many cases. Much of your decision should be based on your education, knowledge, experience, strengths and weakness and your interests. Depending on the nature of your conviction, you should not limit yourself.
