Can a landord sue if I didn't sign a lease
I live with another roommate and he was the only one to sign the lease. All the bills are in my name and the rent checks are in my name, but I am moving out early. I never signed the lease and don't have a copy of the agreement. Could he win a court case to get the rest of the money from me?

Re: Can a landord sue if I didn't sign a lease
If you are not on the lease, you can move out whenever you want. You have no obligation to the landlord.
That being said, your name IS on the bills, so you would either have to continue to pay those bills, shut the accounts, or put them in his name.
