Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
Can he take my leased car?
Three years ago, I leased a vehicle as the primary and my (then) significant other signed as secondary. I have the car at my home, I pay all lease payments, auto insurance and expenses. With one year left on the lease, my former boyfriend is threatening to take the car and turn it in. He wants his name off and the leasing company will not take his name off.
Since trading the car will result in a negatie balance that I will have to either pay or finance inthe purchase of my next car, I do not wish to do this. Do I need an attorney? Can he take my car? (he has a set of keys) The leasing agent states as primary, I own the car but they recommend an attorney.

Re: Can he take my leased car?
The answer to your question will mainly depend on
the wording of the lease agreement. You need to
have an attorney study the lease agreement and
advise you.
