Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
legal rights while operating out of an expired contract
I own a valet company in central Florida that has managed a hotel's valet service for the past 2 1/2 years. My contract with the owner of the company that provide the service to the hotel expired back in October of 2006. My company has continued service with the hotel upholding all parts of the contact as has the person who I was under contract with. Both parties never made mention of this issue. I was told on Thurs Jan. 25th that my companies services were no longer required and the our last day would be Jan 31st, only 1 week of notice. Do I have any legal ground to stand on regading proper notification of termination of services. I just wanted to know if my company could be told to leave with no notice or must there be a period of 30 or 14 days of notice. Thank you in advance for any help or information you can provide.
