Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
Liability in this Profession?
I want to be an independent manufacturer's rep selling heavy equipment. I will work on a commisson basis only. Can I just operate as a sole propritor without worry about liability (because I am just receiving commissions) or should I be concerned and look into other forms of business?

Someone could sue you if they think for example you made representations that were not true. It wouldn't cost much to set up an LLC and get it properly organized so you have protection from personal liability.
