Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
Libel / slander
My husband recently left a company after 10 years as the lead maintenance technician, to begin his own company, offering basically the same service. His former employer has written letters to his customers telling them that my husband doesn't have the experience, the money for proper insurance, etc. What can we do about this?

Re: Libel / slander
Get a copy of the letter and affidavits from the customers who are receiving them. You should consult an attorney to look into the situation and put the former company on notice that they should cease and desist,
Even if the letter and their actions do not meet the standards for Libel, you may have a claim for tortious interference.
