Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
lien against our business
we own a painting company and we hired someone to do a couple of jobs for us and he asked us if he could hire someone to help him and we said yes but you pay him out of what we pay you and he said ok. Well we paid him and him and his help got into a big fight becuase the work they did was really bad so we made him go back and fix it well the guy he had help him is now calling us and saying that he didn't get paid so he his filing a lien against our business for $1200.00 which is not even close to what we were paying. can he do this and get away with it
