Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
I live in Florida.
I am a general contractor.
I would like to hold a raffle for profit and for advertisement. The idea is to sell 3000 tickets for 20 dollars a piece. The winner of the raffle gets to have me and my crew come in and refresh the inside of their home (paint, new flooring, tile in bathrooms...)
Is it legal to do this? Do I need another license?

A raffle is a lottery, which is prohibited by FL law except for under very specific circumstances. Your game can be structured legally by an attorney familiar with the practice. Get an attorney -- you need registration, bond, rules, affidavits, etc. I can recommend one in Tampa if you would like.
