Legal Question in Business Law in Florida
LLC or inc.
My son is 18yrs. old and wants to open a small lawn and landscape business for summer and try to maintain some yards while he attends college in the fall. He has a tractor, weedwhacker, edger, bobcat, and a trailer to transport them. Should he open a llc or inc. Its not going to be his career, but a way to make some money while he earns his degree. He will be the only employee. Thank You,

Re: LLC or inc.
Both should offer him the limited liability he is looking for if done correctly and since he won't have any employees (at least not to start), it's difficult to say one might be better for him than another. There are several factors to consider, so check out the information provided on the U.S. small business administration's website at: http://www.uschamber.org/default. And contact an attorney if he needs additional assistance. Best regards.
